Electroneuro diagnostic Technology(END) is the scientific field devoted to the recording and study of electrical activity of the brain and the nervous system. This information is used for medical evaluation of the function of the brain and nervous system.Technologists record electrical activity from the brain, spinal cord, and peripheral nerves. Technologists also prepare the patients for procedures,record electrical potentials, obtain medical histories. They work with specially-trained physicians who interpret the data and provide clinical impressions. The Electroneuro diagnostic Technician my be specialized in one or more neuro diagnostic procedures which gives opportunity to work in many are as such as neurology, surgery, sleep laboratories.

The Electroneuro diagnostic Technology program at Citi College of Allied Health is a 600 clock hours program admitting a limited number of students every year.Classroom instruction is coupled with supervised clinical experiences at local hospitals. This program incorporates the guidelines of the American Board of Registry of Electroneuro diagnostic Technologists (ABRET).

The END program consists of 5 modules:

Module I: The Electroencephalography (EEG)
Module II: Polysomnography (Sleep study)
Module III: Evoked Potential (EP)
Module IV: Intraoperative Neuro physiological Monitoring
Module V: Externship assignment at the affiliated sites

 

Program Duration

The duration of END/EEG Training Program is ten (10)months.

 

Admission Requirements and Procedure

Following are the admission requirements for this program:Applicant must be at least 17 years old.Has a High School diploma, certificate or other proof of graduation from an institution providing secondary education or the relevant equivalent of such graduation.Verification of high school completion or equivalent will be required in the form of an appropriate documentation like transcript, diploma, or GED. Meeting all the above listed requirements does not automatically entitle admission in this program. This program includes a competitive admissions criteria including but not limited cumulative GPA of science subjects in the high school or equivalent, only top ranked students are admitted to the program as per the capacity of the program.
